Gig Review-hey harriett, pine point, nuclear family

Hey Harriett have mastered the act of live performances. Truly a masterpiece of a band that one must see to believe - The Scene

Tightly packed into the Exeter’s front bar was a crowd captivated by the opening band’s smooth dream-like sound. This band, Emo-Rock fourpiece Nuclear Family, and their introspective vocals compelled us into a pensive suspension within their lyrical orbit. With an EP on the way (and to say I’m excited is a criminal understatement), nuclear family’s chorus infused sincerity and poise will no doubt ensure you never feel alone again. Next up came Pine Point, whose guitars instantly transformed the Exeter’s compact gig room into an expansive echo-chamber invoking a sense of rhythmic nostalgia. Overlaid with effervescent vocals, the Pine Point sound can only be described as scintillating and just as introspective as Nuclear Family.; together they go hand-in-hand like sombre skies with twinkling stars. Lastly, the exuberant Hey Harriett tied the gig off with their signature Indie-Rock that Adelaide has come to know and love. Slipping in the occasional chaotic frenzy between the otherwise soft structure of their songs. Hey Harriett have mastered the act of live performances. Truly a masterpiece of a band that one must see to believe. If you haven’t already, check out Hey Harriett on streaming and be sure to keep an ear out for Nuclear Family’s EP release!
